HELECOS takes an active role in the promotion of Ecology in Greece. The mission of HELECOS is primarily an educational and scientific one. Ηοwever, aiming at the protection of the Greek environment, HELECOS is involved in public matters through providing a science-based perpective and advising public and private agencies on relevant ecological issues.
